1.Kisumu Impala Sanctuary.
This is a wildlife park located in Shauri Moyo Primary School,Harambee Rd,Kisumu .It is a reserve with rare buffalo,antelopes ,giraffes and the cheetahs as well.The Sanctuary offers camping sites which are near Lake Victoria.It is peaceful place to enjoy the beautiful sceneries.The other activities to do is nature walks ,bird watching and glass bottom boat rides in Lake Victoria.
This is a rock formation which is around 120m high located 20Km west of Kisumu Town.In Luo language Kit Mikayi means "the stone of the first wife."It is an adventurous place as you will get a chance to climb up the rocks and it is also historical.Upon arrival,you will be welcomed by traditional dancers who are very friendly.You will also have a chance to see cool caves and a deep pond which later joins Lake Victoria.
The museum is full of the Luo culture and history , definitely a must visit place when you are in the lakeside region.They also have aquariums which have fish from Lake Victoria.You will also get to see snakes, turtles and crocodiles.The museum is very educative and you will get a chance to try different delicacies both local and international.
Located in Dunga beach ,Dunga Rd , Kisumu is Kiboko Bay Resort .It offers warm canvas -sided cabins with thatched roofs.It has a pool and a bar.You will get to enjoy the sunset and cool breeze.You will experience lovely views from the Lake Victoria.Fine dining with delicious food.
5.Lake Kanyaboli National Reserve.
This is an oxbow lake which has lovely scenes,a serene environment.The activities found here are bird watching and boat riding.It is a very good sight for those who love nature, aquatic and geography.
