In a statement by the USA State Department, the Government of President Joe Biden cautioned its citizens not travel to the following northern counties of Turkana, Mandera, Garissa and Wajir.
According to the USA Embassy in Nairobi, the aforementioned counties pose a great danger to the USA citizens living in the country amid fears of terrorism and kidnapping incidences.
Besides the said four counties, the USA Embassy further warned its citizens against travelling to the three coastal counties of Lamu, Tana River and Kilifi.
In the Coast region, the Likoni Ferry crossing channel has been cited as a danger zone and is seen as a possible target of terrorists and kidnappers.
In the capital, Nairobi, the President Joe Biden adminstration has cautioned its citizens to avoid the usually volatile Kibra region the commercial Eastleigh region. The two are seen as possible terror hotspots.
