Kenya Airways Customers Strandend At The Airports After Pilots Go On Strike

Kenya Airways pilots went on strike to seek more pay as well as improve their working conditions, leaving more than 10,000 customers stranded . As of sartuday , more than 15 flights had been cancelled due to strike declared by the Kenya Airlines pilots Association (KAPLA)


Transport Cs Kipchumba Murkomen Termed the strike as "illegal and economic sabotage ". With the government stake and Air france help, KLM is the airline that has become one of the Africa's largest and vital link between the continent of Asia and Europe. However it has recently experienced years of losses.


The pilots have a tense history with the upper management and are demanding that their pension contributions should be restored . They also demanded that the salaries that were put on hold during the covid -19 pandemic ,be paid retroactively.

Meanwhile, the Kenya Airways, appologizes to their guests of the inconveniences caused by the unlawful strike caused by their pilots .They also added that they would do their best to provide with an alternative solution at the earliest opportunity ; which might include rebooking their customers on other airlines.
