Kenya Civil Aviation Authority,KCAA has announced abrupt closure of the Wilson Airport and will affect the planes that will be departing and arriving at the airport on Saturday of 28th May 2022.
The authority has announced that the airport will be closed from 7am to 2pm of the stated date.
The closure of the airport is due to the upcoming Kenya Defence Museum Air Show Festival that will take place at Uhuru Gardens along the Langata Road on the same day.

Passengers planning to use the airport on the same day have been advised to check the status of their flights before going to the airport.
"Passengers scheduled to travel on Saturday through Wilson Airport are advised to check with their respective airlines for flight status updates," the KCAA notice read in part." The announcement read in parts.
The Kenya Defence Museum Air Show Festival will feature military drills normally showcased on national day celebrations. The public have also been invited to attend the event.
