Ukraine is a country in Eastern Europe. It is bordered by Russia to the east and north-east; Belarus to the North; Poland, Slovakia and Hungary to the West; and Romania, Moldova and the Black Sea to the South.
Today, CS Najib Balala issued an online statement on his twitter account which confirmed that the first chartered plane from Ukraine had landed in Kenya. The plane landed at the Moi International Airport located in Mombasa. A charter flight is when a person, group or company hire an entire aircraft for a specific journey.
Once the plane landed at the Moi International Airport, the passengers were welcomed greeted by CS Najib Balala and the Ukrainian ambassador to Kenya His Excellency ambassador Pravednyk Andrii.
This development is very important to the Kenyan tourism industry. This is because having direct flights from Ukraine to Mombasa, Kenya will increase the number of Ukrainian tourists visiting the country. This will ensure that the struggling tourism industry in Kenya does not completely collapse.
