After the deportation of barrister and solicitor Miguna Miguna to Canada, the government issued red alerts to airlines which still exists stopping the airlines from flying the deported lawyer Miguna Miguna to Kenya or to any other African country. However, former Chief Justice Mutunga is expected to travel to Canada on 16th November where he is expected to accompany Miguna Miguna to the country.
Despite the existing red alert barring Miguna Miguna from traveling to Kenya, Mutunga says that they will be in a position to land to Kenya. The former CJ has revealed the tactics they will apply in order to ensure that Miguna Miguna has arrived to Kenya.
Mutunga has revealed that they have asked for legal advice on the restrictions that were issued on the deported lawyer. Mutunga says that they have sought the legal advice under international law.
According to Mutunga, court says that Miguna is a Kenyan citizen while citing that it is possible to fly to his country of origin without an ID.
Mutunga has revealed that they will determine the countries that have the red alert that was issued by Kenya and they will find a way of dealing with those countries and their airlines.
The former Chief Justice emphasized that the government has failed to follow court orders to have Miguna Miguna back to Kenya. He added that personnels from LSK as well as journalists have also accepted that if possible they will accompany Miguna to the country.
