Mombasa county which is one of the three cities in Kenya is known as blue economy city due to its nature of imports and exports which are done in the port through shipping

It gets its revenue from all the shipment that arrives form overseas through sea,most ships coming all the way from China, America, German, England, Japan and many other countries

Some of our neighboring countries like Rwanda, Uganda, southern Sudan depend on the port of Mombasa thus creating a lot of revenue to Mombasa county and also to the whole country

A lot of employment has been made due to the port through road,air , working in port ,and even casual labourers get some jobs when good arrive and they earn a living

Tourist have been a key part in Mombasa that's blue economy by visiting different sites,like diani beach,pirates beach,nyali beach,port Jesus and many more places

A lot of tourist come through sea,and air,the most attraction when you visit the blue economy city are makuti thatched hotels which tourist find them attractive,also Swahili foods there are so delicious thus it keeps tourist wanting for more
