According to a COTU statement, Atwoli's consistency as a customer of Kenya's main airline prompted the award of the luxury prize. The airline said the trade unionist had flown with them for more than 50 years.
"This recognition is the result of patriotism towards the national airline given that Dr Atwoli has flown with KQ for almost 50 years," the statement read in part.
The airline further granted the voice worker's union leader a free round-trip business class ticket to any destination of his choosing.
“The KQ team, led by Evelyne Munyoki who is the Director of Human Resources, thanked the Secretary General for the excellent partnership and, therefore, offered Dr Atwoli a free roundtrip business class ticket to n any destination of its choice served. by KQ, ”the statement added.
Atwoli thanked KQ for the recognition while encouraging Kenyans to continue flying with the airline. He said that KQ is not only the pride of Africa, but also one of the best in the world.
