The Maasai Mara is one of the most famous and important wildlife conservation and wilderness areas in Africa. It is world renowned for its exceptional populations of lion, African leopard, cheeteh and African bush elephant. The National Reserve is located in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border.
Wildebeest annually migrate its plains and cross the Mara River, something that attracts tourists to see, as it is one of the most popular tourist spots in the Reserve. The Maasai Mara opens as early as 6a.m and closes at 6p.m. It has a range of prices and fees for both adults and kids. The entrance fees for Masai Mara National Reserve differ for residents and non residents, with residents of Kenya enjoying discounted admission.
If staying at accomodation located inside the main park, the entrance fee is USD70 per adult for 24 hours and USD40 per child under 12 years. For non residents USD80 is charged and for children under 12 years USD 45. Children under the age of 3 years entrance is free.
