Railway transport is one of the most popular modes of transport in the world, since it is quick, safe, economic and suites best for heavy and bulky goods to be transported in long distances. In Africa, a number of countries enjoy this mode of transport. Thus in this article am going to present to you the fastest train in the continent (Africa).
Al Boraq train, is currently the fastest train in Africa. It was inaugurated on 15th November 2018 by King Mohammed VI of Morocco and still active up-to-date. The train was inaugurated after a decade of planning and construction by Moroccan National Railway Company (ONCF). The train was tested and found to move at 357Km/h (222 miles per hour). What a high speed train! It move from Casablanca to Tangier journey in two hours.
