According to the reports given by a reliable source of information, it has been revealed that the government of Jersey allegedly conducted an investigation in which two former government officials were found guilty of taking this money from Kenya after which they went to hide it in Jersey.
In a news report that was shared by Tv47, it has been revealed that the two suspects who have been identified as Gichuru and Okemo were arrested and taken to the offices of the directorate of criminal investigations for more investigation and questioning over the same incident after being found guilty of graft in Jersey.
Addressing this issue, President Uhuru Kenyatta has claimed that his government is going to make sure they work hard to make sure they arrest all the suspects who will be caught or rather found guilty of trying to use or hide money which was meant for all kenyans.
"This move shows that the law will always catch up with you. It does not matter how long it will take but I'm sure that the law will always catch up with anyone who was engaged in this kind of activities and for this reason, i want to thank the people who made sure that this happened. Land belonging to the government will always belong to the government and money meant for kenyans will always belong to them as a leader, it's very wrong for you to use this money to enrich yourself and your family while others are suffering", he said
