Kenya Airways is the only airline in Kenya operating direct flights from Nairobi to New York. The flight time is 18 hours 25 minutes and costs Kes 122,135 for a one way flight. The distance between the two major cities is 7,364 miles. Kenya Airways has resumed flights to New York as it moves to cash in on growing demad for air travel on the route. This is a good sign for local tourism as the industry is set to receive more guest from the United States.
The carrier had increased the flight frequency in the route to five times per week from the last year in December citing high passenger bookings. The United States brings the largest tourist business to the country and an increase is a positive sign especially now during the festive season. The United States is currently facing a storm which has seen the country being battered with heavy snow.
