45 Passagers Escape Death As Skyward Aircraft Makes A Crash-landing at Burahache Somali Border

Several passager have escaped death after an aircrft operater by the Skyward Airlines, Reg 5Y -GRS which was bording 45 passengers made a sudden crash-landing at Burahache in ELWAK Somalia a closed airstrip veering off the strip. The plane is reported to have been heading to Mandera from Nairobi Wilson Airport before the incidence took place. The crash has happened on 21st July, 2021 with the survivors sustaining minor injuries.

However the Kenyan Civil Aviation Authority has launched investigations into the incidence following the announcement made by the KCAA Director General-Gilbert Kibe. "It was near the Kenya-Somalia border at Elwak airstrip and we are investigating it. No injuries reported so far," Director General Kibe reports to one of the local news anchor on a phone call. Sources reveal that, the plane got damages on its propeller and the landing gear upon the crash. This comes a week after another crash happened at Naivasha that left one person dead and two others sustaining severe injuries.
