By Default, WhatsApp Disappearing Messages in All Chats

Last year, WhatsApp introduced vanishing messages for chats. The firm revealed that it has developed a function that allows users to make disappearing messages the default setting for all discussions.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, revealed the news on Facebook.

"We're launching a new disappearing messages feature on WhatsApp today, allowing you to make all new chats disappear after 24 hours by default." Not every message has to last indefinitely."

Users who start a new one-on-one chat will receive a notification informing them that disappearing messages are enabled by default in the new version. If users do not want the feature, they will be able to turn it off for their individual talks.

Users can choose whether or not their communications should be deleted after a certain amount of time has passed. You can choose between 24 hours, 7 days, and 90 days.

WhatsApp groups will not be affected by the new default option, but users can still enable it in the settings.

The new feature is now available to all WhatsApp users on all devices.
