Safaricom Set To Perform System Maintenance For 4Hrs, Mpesa Services To be Unavailable

Kenyans are currently enjoying telecommunication services from three largest service providers. These service providers are Safaricom, Airtel and Telcom. Among the three, Safaricom is the most popular due competitive advantage it has over the rest.

Almost half of Kenyan population uses safaricom service due to variety of services such as Mpesa and high internet connectivity. The telecommunication company have delt Kenyan a blow after they issued a statement about altering the operations of mpesa services which involves sending and receiving money over the mobile phones.

According to information released to the media, the planned alteration is set to occur between 2359 hrs on Tuesday to 0400 hrs on Wednesday. During this time, services such as airtime purchase and money transfer is set to be unavailable. Customers are therefore urged to plan adequately to avoid inconveniences.

Kenyans trust this communication company because it is not easy for their systems to be hacked. Only their data systems got hacked buy normalcy was restored immediately.

The above information sounds a bad news to customers who largely conduct business via mobile networks as their businesses are set to be affected. We therefore expect more efficient services after maintainance.
