Robert Alai who is among famous people on social media in Kenya today tweeted on his twitter page that The IEBC CEO is trivialising the issue and this is what is raising issues. The manual register is from the digital register but digital systems can refuse to read the digital registers. The IEBC is really playing with the country’s very important event.
Festus tweeted, "I thought ODM nominations were digital 😂😂😂. Luos brag about how educated they are and that they embrace technology, why is Tinga worried and he has system 😂😂😂 Baba is cornered,he should boycott this election so we can swear in Ruto as early as possible."
Kinyua tweeted, "@IEBCKenya should address all these issues. It will not be okay for some polling stations to have Technology Hiccups on the polling day. Presence of a manual register will smoothen the process incase there is technology failure."
Kibet tweeted, "For Raila to say "no manual register, no election" is a security issue. In his capacity, he cannot stop an election, even William Ruto cannot stop an election. It is not mandatory that Raila Odinga is on the ballot, he boycotted in 2017 but we have a President."
Mzalendo tweeted, "A system can fail any time, that's why Rt. Hon Raila is asking for a backup so simple reasoning. If you have been to school their are two records manual and digital."
