Why M Pesa Won't Be Working On Wednesday For Some Hours

Starting Tuesday 11:59 pm to Wednesday 4am, Mpesa services for Safaricom users will be affected as the telecommunications giant will be carrying out some maintenance protocols. Theis will include buying of Airtime.

The CEO of the company gave this statement saying that the maintenance is aimed at providing the least inconveniences for its customers. Ndengwa said that the company is constantly innovating Mpesa to improve its customer service and also support their partners.

This comes after a man was arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation on Sunday for allegedly vandalising property belonging to Safaricom which was estimated to be sh. 2 million. The man is said to have been acting as an engineer for Safaricom. All the equipment that he had was taken by the police. He had accessed one of Safaricom's stations in Murang'a where he described the guard and got in.
