Manchester City and Portugal creative midfielder Barnardo Silva has made his verdict on the five times Ballon D'Or winner after the heroic display against Ghana on 24th November.
Despite of criticism of the Portuguese star, Silva wasn't hesitant to reveal that Portugal still counts on him in the team. He claims that Ronaldo worked a lot for Portugal and contributed highly in the 3-2 win against the African side Ghana.
Despite of fans speculating whether the circus surrounding Ronaldo's spat with United would prove a distraction to Portugal squad, the teammates rallied around their talismanic attacker and ensured that they emerge on top of the opponent after the last minute's whistle.
Speaking during the interview, the Portuguese midfielder wasn't hesitant to hail Ronaldo saying: "We are happy to know that we can still count on Cristiano – not just the goal but he worked a lot for the team," Bernardo said after the Ghana win.
