Tokyo Olympics: Malkia Strikers Suffer Third Consecutive Loss Against Serbia.

Malkia Strikers have been condemned to their third straight defeat at the Tokyo Olympics following their loss to Serbia. Malkia are yet to pick a favourable result at the ongoing Summer Games having lost to hosts Japan in their opener before following up that disappointing result with another one against South Korea.

The Paul Bitok-tutored team was keen to make amends in their third fixture against Serbia on Thursday, July 29, only for them to lose 3-0.

Despite the frustrating results, Malkia Strikers did put up a spirited performance against the world champions as they came up close in two sets. Kenya narrowly lost the first set 21-25, with the second one ending in a 11-25 loss. The team came close to winning the third, only to lose by a fine margin of 20-25. Malkia are scheduled to take on Brazil and the Dominican Republic in two of their last fixtures of the preliminary round.
