ARSENAL: Arteta Suffers Another Huge Blow After Medical Reports Revealed Two Players Unfit

Ahead of the just ended match against Burnley this evening at Emirates, Mikel Arteta could not select two of his regular players into the squad due to injuries. According to the latest medical reports prior to the game, Takehiro Tomiyasu was still unfit after sustaining an injury on the training ground yesterday. Additionally, Football London understands that the player has been forced by his condition to withdraw from Japanese squad for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers games.

On the other hand, Cedric Soares who was initially reported to be infected with COVID-19 is today reported to be nursing an injury alongside Tomiyasu. Both players are Mikel Arteta's preferred Right Back and their disappearance in the Burnley game forced the Gunners' boss to alternatively employ Ben White at right back.

The specific dates for which the two players will resume the full training is not yet known and this leaves the Gunners family with much doubts on their top-four finish dream. Also, Thomas Partey and Xhaka are still serving their suspension after picking red cards in the recent Carabao Cup competitions that saw Arsenal knocked out by Liverpool. Arguably, the blow continues for Mikel Arteta and the club needs to find immediate remedy possibly before the January transfer window ends.
