France tried their best and their attacker Oliver Giroud scored twice, and Paul pogba the Manchester United midfielder, in the 66th minute the score was 3-1 which France was leading, but Switzerland pulled up their socks and scored two goals taking the match to extra time.
The extra time was played for 30 minutes and no winner was found, so penalties shoot-out followed to determine the winner, where all penalty takers for Switzerland converted the penalties, and France all penalty takers converted but only Mbabe's penalty was saved, and Switzerland qualified to the next round.
Kylian Mbabe tweeted, and his fans supported him as his penalty was saved not missed.
