Manchester United have managed to completely turn the tables to their favour this season despite a false start to the campaign. This new transformation is courtesy of Erik Ten Hag and his faithful starting eleven who were good enough to beat Liverpool, Leicester City, Southampton and recent league leaders Arsenal. Following these positive results, critics who had doubted that Ten Hag was the right man for the job have now come forward and apologized for their lack of faith.
According to former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes, Ten Hag has surpassed his expectations very early in the season. He explained that he expected Manchester United to be battered by Liverpool a few weeks ago, but shockingly, the tables were turned. He also mentioned that in the clash at Old Trafford last week, he was sure that Arsenal would get the upper hand in the match but that was not to be since Manchester United won by a two-goal deficit.

“The progress Manchester United have made so far is tremendous. I’ll be honest with you, when we played against Liverpool a few weeks ago, I was sure we were going to lose that match by a wide margin. When we recently played Arsenal, I put my money on Arsenal since they are currently on top of the table and were unbeaten in the new season. In both occasions, I was proven wrong. And am Proud of that.”

Marcus Rashford with the impact…
One particular player that is pulling all the strings at the club is Marcus Rashford. The 23 year old so far has 3 goals under his belt as well as 2 assists in the new season making him the most prolific player for the club this campaign. He has also managed to fend off competition from Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting eleven which is commendable as of my opinion. If he maintains such a run, he might make it into Southgate’s draft for the World Cup.

The center forward position in the starting eleven is Rashford’s for the taking this season. Cristiano Ronaldo is not catching up to Rashford’s quality anytime soon until he changes his mentality about the team. Rashford nonetheless has to work on a few things about his offensive skills since he tends to make a lot of mistakes when under pressure. Ten Hag is definitely looking into that.
Do you think Rashford is befitting to replace Ronaldo next season?
