Today was the D-day as everyone was eyeing at King power Stadium. This was the venue that the Community Shield match was scheduled to happen.
Liverpool the FA-Cup winning team was playing against Manchester City Premier League Champions. This match was the signal of the kick of English Premier League campaign that is scheduled to begin on 5th August.
So today Liverpool has carried home the victory against Manchester City in the Community Shield competition that has just finished at King power Stadium.
Trent Alexander-Arnold opened Liverpool's luck the 21' after getting an assist from Mohamed Salah.
The first half session the game ended 1-0 and in the second half Julian Alvarez gave Manchester City hopes after equalising the 70'.
At 83' Liverpool got a penalty kick and Mohamed Sallah scored the the penalty. After the FIFA official 90 minutes another extra five minutes were added. In these 5 minutes is when Liverpool was assured 100% victory after Darwin Nunez scored the third goal.
The match ended 3-1 Liverpool carrying the victory home. Liverpool had ball possession of 43% and Manchester City had 57%.
