Manchester united have had a number of coaches after Sir Alex retired. Despite the constant change in the management, the club has not had the best performances yet. One of them is Dutch Coach Louis Van Gaal who won the FA cup with the red devils.
Despite winning the title, he was sacked for failing to secure a champions league spot. News emerging about the former Manchester united and Ajax tactician are unfriendly. Van Gaal revealed that he has been battling a deadly disease which is Prostate Cancer. He revealed on Live TV that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Prostrate cancer and began treatment.
According to him, he has been treated 25 times and is doing well. The current Dutch national team coach opened up a way that no one expected that from him.
"So I thought they shouldn't know. You don't die from prostate cancer, at least not in ninety percent of the cases. It is usually other underlying diseases that kill you. But I had a pretty aggressive form, got irradiated 25 times. Then you have a lot of management to do in order to go through life." Said Van Gaal
The 70 year old coach us one of the most successful tacticians in the world. He led Ajax to 2 consecutive champions league finals before winning it in 1995. He would later be appointed by Barcelona where he won two league titles. The outstanding tactician revealed that his players were not aware of his medical condition since he kept it private. We hope that he recovers and gets back to a healthy lifestyle.
His former club Manchester united have sent a message to the coach after he made the announcement. The red devils wrote that they are fully behind him as he battles the disease.
