The Commonwealth games began yesterday in Birmingham the United Kingdom. The opening ceremony was one of its own as it was full of pomp and color. The Kenyan team walked in the stadium with their impressive attires.

Today the games involving Kenyans kicked off, the Kenyan sevens rugby team began their games with a a match against noisy neighbors Uganda by beating them by 27-14 points. This was a game which many Kenyans expected the team to win by a big margin.

The second game against Jamaica was a game changer as the Kenyan side thrashed the south American Nation by 45 points to nill. This was to the amazement of many Kenyan rugby fans. They were happy following the huge margin considering the Jamaicans are well known for their speed. However, they couldn't go past the Kenyan defence in today's game. The experience of Kenyan sevens in the IRB sevens series proved to be key.
