Mark Van Bommel has been sacked as Wolfsburg manager after a poor run of results.Van Bommel was incharge for the Dutch club for 18 months before his spell ended after suffering third successive defeats in the hands of Feyenoord this week and leaving them in the fourth place at Eredivise adrift Ajax with 10 points.Van Bommel was half way of his 3 year contract he signed with the club.Gerbrands who is psv director said this after Van Bommel was sacked."The competitions are the measuring moments, but the process around them is also decisive. We monitor this intensively. PSV is a club where we try to help and support each other. That has also been the case in recent months."The club interest has always been paramount. The evaluation ultimately resulted in this painful decision. We have all done everything to turn the tide.Unfortunately, we did not succeed."Psv finished second in dutch league last season just 3 points behind champions Ajax but have struggled to recreate their form this season.
