I love Manchester United and I love the fans that will never change - Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo leaves united with mutual agreement

I love man United and it's fans.

Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to terminate his contact and leave united Manchester United with immediate effect."The club wishes him and his family well for the future and thanks him for his enormous contribution during two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances."

"Everyone at Manchester United is committed to continuing the team's progress under Erik ten Hag and to working together to achieve success on the field."

According to ESPN, Ronaldo wanted to leave and United did not pay him to do so.

Ronaldo's contract at Manchester United was set to expire in June, but the club attempted to terminate it early after the striker told Morgan that the club had made "zero progress" since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013 and that he "doesn't respect" Ten Hag.

Ronaldo finally said "I love Manchester United and its fans, and that will never change."

Fans reaction

However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge.

"I wish the team all the best for the rest of the season and in the future."
