William Saliba’s words which he said a few months ago still linger in the minds of Arsenal fans up until today. William Saliba had claimed that Mikel Arteta told him that he was not ready to play for the Gunners and that is why he was being sent out on loan. He said that Arteta judged him after two and a half games and decided his fate without even thinking twice about it.
Now Arsenal are in a defense crisis whereas Saliba is thriving in the French league. Saliba has been a real pillar for Marseille this season and if he doesn’t make a lasting impact in the French team, then Arsenal will most probably sell him next summer. Ben White is yet to show he is worth every dime of the €50 Million transfer fee because he has contracted the Coronavirus. There is so much at stake in Mikel Arteta’s defense.
Despite losing 5-0 to their top-six rivals, Arsenal fans still had a reason to celebrate after the Women’s team thumped Gillingham FC 10-0 at Irksaw Stadium yesterday. Five goals were scored in each half of the match as the Gunners dominated in every aspect of the game.
Joseph Eidenvall said that he was very impressed with the results considering that a few main players were out due to unavoidable circumstances. He added by saying that his team was receptive to every challenge that was thrown at them during the match and that showed just how mentally strong the team is at the moment.
Aaron Ramsdale’s debut season at Arsenal has started on a rough patch but fans hope that he will deliver Arsenal from their hell hole. Bernd Leno has been equally impressive this season but his leaky defense has exposed him a lot in the first three games of the EPL campaign. Ramsdale will nonetheless have to prove a point that he is the better of the two when he makes his Premier League debut for the Gunners in the upcoming fixture.
