Star Sends Strong Message After Leaving Arsenal Permanently

Brazilian forward Willian spoke to the Gazetaesportivo explaining how his spell at the Emirates Stadium was not fruitful and what made him decide to leave Europe permanently choosing Corinthians as his final destination.

The former Chelsea star admitted that his time at the Gunners was not good and he was not happy at the club which led him and his family come up with a decision of moving to Brazilian side Corinthians.

" I thought about it a lot, with my family and loved ones. Unfortunately, my time at Arsenal was not good, I was not happy at the club."

The 33 year old failed to explain what made him not to be happy at the Emirates Stadium, and insisted that he had other options to move to but decided to choose Corinthians since he felt as home and closer to his family.

" I don't need to go into details, but I wasn't happy and thought going back to Brazil was the best option. I explored other opportunities but wanted to return to the Corinthians, home, be closer to my family."

He added that Corinthians wa the first club to introduce him to the world and he saw it as a good decision to make a comeback.

" It is the club that introduced and revealed me to the world. It was a good time to make my comeback."
