Man United Star Ready To Force Way To The Starting 11 After An Impressive Display At The UCL.

Solskjaer and his staff have been suitably impressed by Dalot's performances in training and his professionalism in rejecting a move to Dortmund. He has further chances to impress in games against West Ham in the Carabao Cup and Villareal in the UCL over the next 2 weeks.

Wan-Bissaka is the United back five's weak link and Solskjaer has a rejuvenated competitor to use in Diogo Dalot.

Dalot believes he can force his way into the Manchester United team. I believe he should come in now. A CL game every other week and the importance of them should be backed up with regular premier games too. AWB has to learn from his mistake. Dalot needs a run of games to integrate.Dalot: "Physically, I feel completely fit, probably the best I've felt in a very long time. Obviously after a very good season in Italy, combining with the national team at the end of the season was fantastic for me."

Solskjær: "He [Dalot] kept fit, which was a big thing. And he’s got qualities that we look at trying to exploit more and more, of course he's got more experience. We’re not here just to loan out players for years and years."

Solskjær: "Diogo [Dalot] has had a very good summer with being called up to Euros, he did well for Portugal Under-21s and had a season on loan that learnt a lot from in Milan."
