Jacob Mulee was signed and announced as the Harambee Stars coach 20th October last year. Mulee has been having a hard time to get results at home. During the FIFA world Cup Qualifies, Mulee drew at home with Egypt and also went drawing with Rwanda both home and away. According to football analysts and football commentators in Kenya, these are not quality results for the National team which lead to his resignation. Mulee called a meeting to express his future with the today and said that he tried his best.
After Mulee left the office today, FKF President Nick Mwendwa has made announcements over the replacement coach who will be in charge of the Harambee Stars. The Turkish International Firat Engin will take over from where Mulee left the team. According to Nick Mwendwa, Firat has been signed for months contract and will be in charge for the team in the next coming four world Cup Qualifies match.
Despite his record in Moldova, Firat has promised to work closely with the team, and the management to make sure everything is going well. Firat will start his campaign away in Bamako against Mali in the few coming days in the World Cup Qualifies.
