KTN Home Releases Olympics Schedule For The Last Day Of Track And Field Events

KTN Home through their Facebook page have released the schedule for Saturdays races which will mark the end of Track and field competitions at the Tokyo Olympics.The first race on the schedule is the women's 42 kilometers marathon race, a race in which Kenya won both the gold and silver medals after a one, two finish 2 hours past midnight.

Kenyas medals came through Peres Jepchirchir and world marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei who won gold and silver respectively.

In the afternoon hours, two races which involve kenyan athletes are scheduled.The women's 10000 meters will come up first with the kenyan duo of Hellen Obiri, Sheila Chelagat and Irene Cheptai expected to fight for the top podium finish against Netherlands Sifan Hassan.

Men's 1500 meters final final will come next later in the day with Abel Kipsang and Timothy Cheruiyot expected to lead Kenya to the top medals win.Kipsang who now holds the Olympic record after breaking the existing one in the semi finals, he will be the man to watch in the race.
