Footballers Who Played For One Football Club in Their Careers

Jamie Carragher

He is a former footballer who played as a defender for Premier League club Liverpool during a career that spanned 17 years.

A one-club man, he was Liverpool's vice-captain for 10 years, and is the club's second-longest ever serving player, making his 737th appearance for Liverpool in all competitions on 19 May 2013.

Carragher also holds the record for the most appearances in European competition for Liverpool with 149.

Paolo Maldini

Maldini is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a left-back and center-back for AC Milan and the Italy national team.

He is regarded as one of the greatest ever defenders of all time.

Maldini held the record for most appearances in Serie A, with 647, until 2020, when he was overtaken by Gianluigi Buffon.

Maldini spent all 25 seasons of his playing career in the Serie A with Milan, before retiring at the age of 41 in 2009.

He assisted AC Milan to win 25 trophies including the European Cup/UEFA Champions League five times, seven Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia, five Supercoppa Italiana titles, four European/UEFA Super Cups, two Intercontinental Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup.

Ryan Giggs

He is the manager of the Wales national team and one of the owners of Salford City ( a football club in England, that competes in League Two).

Giggs played his entire professional career for Manchester United and briefly served as the club's interim manager after the sacking of David Moyes in April 2014. Giggs is regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation.

He made his professional debut for the club in 1991 and spent 23 years in the Manchester United first team. He made 963 appearances for the Red Devils.

Carles Puyol

He played his entire career for Barcelona. He mainly played as a central defender, but he could also play in either full-back position, mostly as a right-back.

Praised for his defensive qualities and leadership, he is widely regarded as one of the best defenders and captains in the history of the sport.
