After the match, Kevin De Bruyne expressed his disappointments admitting that Belgium is not a strong team as Italy and France. However, he mentioned the absence of Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku as a factor which led to the loss.

Kevin De Bruyne said:

"With all due respect we're just Belgium. We're a new generation, and today we missed top players like Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku. We have to be realistic with the team that we have. Italy and France have 22 top players, we don't have that."
