Belgium's goal was scored in the 86th minute and it was scored by de Ketelaere. Kevin De Bruyne who was subbed in the 86th minute was the assist provider of the goal.
The Belgium players were left heartbroken because they failed to win any medal during the tournament despite their efforts. After the match, Kevin De Bruyne expressed his disappointments admitting that Belgium is not a strong team as Italy and France. However, he mentioned the absence of Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku as a factor which led to the loss.
Kevin De Bruyne said:
"With all due respect we're just Belgium. We're a new generation, and today we missed top players like Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku. We have to be realistic with the team that we have. Italy and France have 22 top players, we don't have that."
