Christian Eriksen has verbally agreed to join Manchester United this summer transfer window as a free agent and he is set to become Erik Ten Hag's second signing at Old Trafford.

The transfer is not yet fully comoleted but Eriksen has agreed to sign a three-year contract with Manchester United after his one-year contract with Brentford expired on June.

As the Denmark star nears to join Manchester United, here we look at the six possible shirt numbers he could take. Let's see;

This shirt number is currently unoccupied at Old Trafford following the departure of Juan Mata who was wearing it. It is a good one for a midfielder and Eriksen could possibly take it.

Another ideal jersey number that Christian Eriksen could wear is number 6 which is also empty. Paul Pogba was the one wearing it but he left the club as a free agent this summer.

3. JERSEY 12

This shirt number has been unoccupied for some seasons at Man United following the departure of Chris Smalling some years ago. It could also be available for Eriksen upon signing for the club.

This is not a new one for Eriksen as he has been wearing it at Brentford and at Tottenham some years back. Edinson Cavani left it vacant it Eriksen could take it.

5. JERSEY 14

Another player who was announced to leave Manchester United is Jesse Lingard and that means his jersey number 14 will be available for any new signing and Eriksen could have a choice to take it.

6. JERSEY 13

And finally, the last possible shirt number that the Den could wear at Old Trafford is shirt number 13 which has been empty since the last player to wear it was Anders Lindergaard.
