Chelsea: Revealed- Striker Rejected Offers From PSG and Barcelona, Emphatic Win, Mendy's Admission

Massive Win

Chelsea’s Under 23 registered a crucial win over league rivals Liverpool in a 7 goal thriller. The game was very physical as both sides each earned a red card and were reduced to ten men. Liverpool were the first one to score but Chelsea netted two quick goals to secure a comeback in the first half.

In the second half, Liverpool turned the tables and completed a comeback but Chelsea quickly leveled the game. During stoppage time of the second half, Max Grinder headed in a thunderbolt cross to ensure Chelsea’s win and assuringly secure the three points. Both coaches hailed the performance of their teams since the players showed a lot of commitment and team spirit.

Drew Spence

Chelsea Women FC striker Drew Spence revealed that Paris Saint Germaine and Barcelona once tried to lure her with €2 Million to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window but she refused to hold talks with them claiming that her loyalty lied with Chelsea. Spence said that Emma Hayes was also influential in her decision since she gave her reassurances that she was an important part of the team.

Spence is considered to be one of the best creative midfielders in the Women's Super League following her emphatic 48 goal involvements last season. Spence has a number of strengths in her playing styles namely, good short and long passing accuracy, strong-weak foot ability, and great free-kick technique. She also has a good connection with Chelsea’s star striker Fran Kirby.

Edouard Mendy

Edouard Mendy recently spoke about his decision to join Chelsea saying that it was one of the easiest decisions he ever made in his life. He said that once his agent informed him about Chelsea’s interest, he said that whatever should be done to complete the move should be done fast and smoothly. Now, Mendy is one of Chelsea’s top players.
