Jurgen Klopp says Erling Halaand will make Manchester city stronger in their battle with Liverpool for silverware both domestically and in Europe.

City are closing in on one of the best strikers currently in world football Erling Halaand from Dortmund with reports claiming that he passed the medicals on Monday.

With talks of Haaland increased today, Klopp was asked about how Haaland would impact the title race ahead of his side's clash with Villa.

Klopp answered that he signed the new contract with Liverpool knowing that City will not stop developing and it's not about city defining whether his side can be happy or not.

Jurgen Klopp insists there are so many ways to win a football game and his Liverpool side just have to find one.

He told sky sports, "We play all other teams yes. But if Haaland goes there that will not weaken them. Definitely not. I know in the moment that other people talk about money but this signing will set new levels, let me say this.
