Kenyan International Michael Olungawas in action as Duhail completed their pre-season training in Austria with a 4-0 win over Austrian top-tier side WSG Tirol on Sunday.
Duhail scored two quickfire goals in the 27th and 28th minute through Edmilson Jnr and Khaled Mohamedto take control of the game as the two sides went for the break.
They were at it again in the second half as Nasser Al Yazidi completed a brace in a span of two minutes to make it 4-0 and Duhail went pon to hold to the lead to full time.
This was only the second game that the Qatar Stars League side won from the four that they have played in Austria, the other win coming against third-tier side SC Imst earlier in the month.
In the four matches, the Harambee Stars captain scored four goals, scoring a hattrick against SC Imst as they won 6-1 and against Romanian club U Craiova in a one-all draw in their first match in Austria.
The team jetted out to Austria at the start of the month having resumed their preseason preparations last month at their facility and already played a test match before they departed Qatar where they lost to AL Wakrah by a solitary goal, and went on to lose to Greek side Panathinaikos.
Duhail’s opening clash of the campaign is slated for Wednesday 3 August as they will travel to face Al-Wakrah at the iconic Al Janoub Stadium which is scheduled to host some games during the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Since joining Duhail back in January 2021, Olunga is yet to win the Qatar Stars League with the team finishing as runners-up in the back-to-back seasons that the forward has been in Qatar and this will be hoping to help the team better those finishes this time around.
