After spending one year at the Emirates stadium, Arteta has finally confirmed that Aron Ramsdale will be his number one for the 2022/23 premier league season. This news was announced after Bern Leno's departure from Arsenal to Fulham.With the world cup just around the corner,Leno sought an outlet in a bid to boost his chances of participating at this year's world cup in Qatar.
There is no doubt that Ramsdale deserves to be Arsenal's number one after his impressive first season with the Gunners. The England international will be deputized by Matt Turner who will also looking forward to claim the first spot from him.
Ramsdale wished Leno all the best and said he was very proud to be taking his prestigious number. Upon being announced as Arsenal's number one, the ex-Shefield United player promised the Gunner faithful performances that only Arsenal's great goal keepers made both on and off the pitch.
In 34 appearances last season,Ramsdale kept 12 clean sheets, although his form dropped in the second half of the campaign.But it was his incredible run of form in the first half of the season that earned him an England call up.
