Arsenal Want to Sign EPL Winner Midfielder But Will Play Him as a Striker

Arsenal have been linked with several players in the past few weeks ahead of summer transfer moves and so far, they have been able to only lure a 19 year old ace from Sao Paulo who's expected to undergo medicals at Emirates ahead of official announcement from the club.

The board is allegedly considering to back up Mikel Arteta after literally handing him a transfer close to £250m with multiple sources linking Gabriel Jesus and Arthur Melo to Emirates.

However according to Daily Star Football, the Gunners are allegedly willing to sign Ilkay Gundogan from Manchester City following reports that the 30 year old midfielder will leave Etihad.

It's claimed that Mikel Arteta will exploit him in his attacking options and not in his position something which is arguably possible. Gundogan is known to b an attacking midfielder or rather a playmaker according to Arteta,he might be a good false number nine in case he fail to sign another Striker.

Meanwhile, Paulo Dybala is a free agent and therefore Arsenal can make an approach to land his services.

Lastly in your opinion, Do you think Mikel Arteta is right about signing Gundogan?
