Chelsea Midfielder Who is Turning Into A New 'Cesc Fabregas' For The Club

Cesc Fabregas is considered one of the greatest midfielders to ever play in the Premi er League. The Spaniard international played at Stamford Bridge for five years winning some of the major trophies in football.

Fabregas widely played as a central midfielder most of his career where he won every trophy in club football except for the UEFA Champions League. His playmaking, vision, ball control, passing ability, and technique are some of the qualities seen in the former Chelsea and Barcelona.

He ended his Premier League career as the player with the second highest assist after he provided 111 assists behind Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs who has 162 assists. Fabregas left Chelsea in 2019 and the club has never managed to get a perfect central midfielder who can replace him.

They signed Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid but the Cristian international has faced a lot of injuries at Chelsea which have affected his performance. However, Chelsea currently has English midfielder Conor Gallagher who has been impressive in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old was one of the best players for Crystal Palace last which saw Chelsea keep him this season and he also started being called to play for his national team England.

Gallagher had his first Premier League start today against Leeds United and he was remarkable in the match. He was dominant in midfield making great passes, through ball, and creating various chances for the team.

Cono Gallagher is a great talent for the Blues and he can is the missing piece in midfield where the side has been struggling to get a good central midfielder. If will have more game time this season and start more games and he can make the same impact as Fabregas.
