The win placed united in a healthy position towards securing a position the last four of the competition. However, the win came at a cost for the red devils as they will be without the services of captain Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw for next week’s return game .

All three received their third yellow card in the competition which makes them eligible for one-match suspension. The three will now miss the return leg and will support their teammates from sidelines hoping to clinch a position in the last four. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will now revert to Alex Telles their summer signing from Porto to fill in for Luke Shaw in left back.

Solskjaer will now turn to Nemanja Matic to fill in the void left by 24-year -old dynamic Scottish midfielder Scott mcTominay. The manager will hope the absence of his key men will not influence the outcome of the tie .Solskjaer hopes his players will play a key part in the semi-final of the competition should they get Granada.
