Ole Gunnar is among the Premier League managers that have a difficult time selecting the strongest starting lineups this season. The club has a good squad and every player deserves to be named in the starting lineup.
The only position that needs improvements during the January transfer window is the defensive midfielder. The current players Fred, Scott McTominay, and Matic are not always consistent. However, the latter can play this position well, the only disadvantage with him is he loses the ball often something which might costed the team.
Ole Gunnar seems to have found his dream back four after signing Raphael Varane from Real Madrid. The world cup winner has boosted United's defense and has not yet conceded through set-pieces this season.
David De Gea will also retain his starting position as the first-choice goalkeeper. The Spaniard has been brilliant this season and he is likely going to bench Dean this season.
