ARSENAL: 2021/2022 Squad Depth After January Transfer Window

A number of Arsenal players not less than six have vacated to various clubs across Europe and this has distorted the previous squad-depth that the club registered prior to the beginning of this season. Among the first team players that have left include Aubameyang (Barcelona), Maitland Niles (AS Roma), Pablo Mari (Udinese), Calum Chambers (Aston Villa), Kolasinac (Marseille) and Balogun (Middlesbrough).

Those that remain to form the current squad-depth include the following:

Goalkeepers

Aaron Ramsdale will be leading in the goal post as first choice shot stopper while Leno will deputize him.

Defenders

Benjamin White together with Gabriel Magalhães will lead at center back and Rob Holding shall be providing White with backup. On the right back, Cedric is set to be stepping up for Tomiyasu in case of anything while Tierney leads Tavares on the left back position.

Midfielders

Partey and Xhaka will take control of the midfield leadership while Mohamed Elneny and Sambi Lokonga will be their substitutes respectively. Ødegaard will basically be the team's playmaker throughout half of this season.

Strikers

Alexander Lacazette will be spearheading Arsenal's frontline as Saka and Martinelli provide him with cover up. Eddie Nketiah, Pepe and Emile Smith Rowe will respectively step in for them if necessary.
