Arsenal have extended their lead at the top of the EPL table to 8 clear points after beating sorry Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at home on Sunday. The last time Gunners were 8 points clear after matchweek 20 was during the Arsenal Invincible era of 2003/04 season and they went ahead to win the Premier League with 11 points clear. Arsenal have won 15 games in 18 matches and will face 4th placed Man United this weekend at Emirates in a hotly contested Premier League title clash. Arsenal have only lost once this season and the only team to beat them is Man United 3-1 at Old Trafford but the Red Devils are 9 points below the Gunners.
Man United demolished Man City 2-1 on Saturday to claim 3 vital points and bounce back to the Premier League title race. Man United will take on Crystal Palace on Wednesday in a rescheduled Premier League match while 2nd placed Man City will take on Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
