The new Premier League season kicked off last weekend as different players impress in their first Premier League match. One of the player that had an outstanding performance is Haaland. The Norwegian joined the Cityzens this summer and made an immediate impact in his first Premier League match something that has made many to shower praises on him.

Haaland is believed to be one of the best finishers in Europe following his great performance in the Bundesliga. He scored 86 goals in 89 matches while playing for Borussia Dortmund in two and a half seasons.

This shows how good he was in the Bundesliga. His impressive performance in his first match made Manchester United legend to shower praises on him as he compares him to Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Scholes suggested that he thought Haaland would take time to adapt in the Premier League but he proved him wrong with his first Premier League match.

Van Nistelrooy was one of the best Manchester United Strikers who used to give top defenders a headache. He scored 95 goals in 150 games for Manchester United.

During a recent interview of Paul Scholes suggested the following about Haaland,

"He’s such a young player, so confident. He reminds me so much of Ruud van Nistelrooy, such a ruthless finisher"

“When he gets through, you feel he’s going to score and you feel he’s not going to give the goalkeeper a chance. Even looking at his penalty, he was so certain about it, just a step up and bang into that bottom corner."

Many are now looking forward to see how Haaland is going to perform in the Premier League since he is one of the best young strikers in Europe. For more click the link below.
