Hamilton vs Rangers
Hamilton were beaten 2-1 by Ross County last time out as their fellow basement dwellers scored twice in the final 10 minutes, but they’re highly unlikely to find a goal here.
They had failed to score in six of their previous seven outings, which includes three that finished in 2-0 defeats and another that ended 3-0, including a pair of losses to Celtic.
The win to nil appears banker material then, but coupling it with under 3.5 goals makes sense to give some cover in case the visitors run a little wild. Six of Rangers’ last eight games have seen fewer than three goals, including four 1-0 victories, but the weakest defence in the division is capable of conceding more.
Alfredo Morelos is suspended for his recent stamp on Hibernian’s Ryan Porteous, while Brian Rice is without long-term absentees Shaun Want and David Templeton. However, we wouldn’t expect team news to make much of a difference here.
Hamilton will have been pleased to land Aberdeen’s Bruce Anderson on loan, with the frontman making his debut against Ross County last time out and bagging an assist, but he struggled to make an impact at Ayr United during the first half of the campaign and we can’t see him troubling Rangers’ ridiculously solid backline.
