Arsenal has a reason to smile in next season. Arsenal hope of signing the Brazilian Star Philipe Coutinho has final knocked in. This is due to financial difficulties witnessed in Barcelona as result of Covid-19 pandemic . Barcelona needs to raise 20 millions pounds to pay Liverpool thus they need to sell Coutinho to cater for the costs.
Phillipe Coutinho has been having difficult time under Barcelona manager Koeman. Coutinho has only made 10 appearances in Barcelona this season. Despite Coutinho extending his contract with Barcelona, it is clear that Barcelona will be selling Coutinho in summer transfers in order to offset their financial surge.
It will be a golden opportunity to Arsenal to sign Coutinho after failing to have him in the last window transfer. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shown interest of having Coutinho to fill the gap left by Mesut Ozil who left to Fernebahce. Coutinho signing is believed to redeem the Gunners lost glory.
Coutinho might help the Gunners to achieve it's objectives of lifting English Premier League in the coming season. Coutinho is a good player whose combination with Arsenal's wonder kids such as Bukayo Saka will be threat.
