'Greatest' Footballer Who Never Played a Game in His Entire Career of Over 20 Years [PHOTOS]

Brazil is famous for having great talent in terms of football as the country has produced one of the greatest superstars.

The name Carlos Kaiser will be unfamiliar to even the most diehard football fans but it is evident that he had a wonderfully unique career; unique in that he never played a game of professional football.

Carlos Henrique Raposo was nicknamed Kaiser due to his striking resemblance to the great German Franz Beckenbauer.

The former Brazilian player has been called a fake footballer for creating a career out of zero talent for the game.

Somehow, he never played a professional match in his life, bouncing from club to club while hiding his limited ability by faking injury the moment it dawned on him his secret might get sprung.

He had a career spanning more than two decades, during which he was associated with Rio’s four biggest clubs Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo and Vasco da Gama as well as Bangu, América and a number of overseas teams. Yet throughout his career he went out of his way not to play football.

In Brazil he is remembered for faking communications in English with important Premier League teams.

A doctor who worked in a Brazilian team and lived in the UK for years discovered the deception by listening to their nonsensical conversations.
