Omanyala, Kemboi Festers in Kenya Race to Promote Kenya's Exhibition

HISTORY of the African 100-meter dash, Ferdinand Omanyala and six other Kenyans headed to the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday night to take part in the 2021 Dubai Run.

The race, known as the "Run with the Champions", will see participants including the Dubai King's Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, finish the 5km and 10 km race on the Sheikh Zayed highway on November 26.

The 2021 Dubai Run is one of several activities on the menu for the seven Kenyan athletes at the Dubai 2020 exhibition.

The Kenya Trade and Industry Development Corporation (KEPROBA), which will run the Kenyan booth at the exhibition, aims to promote Kenya as an important investment, sports and tourism destination.

In addition to Omanyala, who set the national and African record of the 9.77-meter dash at the Kip Keino Classic in the Kasarani extension in September, there are also two Olympic 3,000m steeplechase and water sprinter Ezekiel Kemboi.
